Foam-boosting and stabilising shampoos - with partial amides of copolymers of maleic anhydride and vinyl gp-contg. monomers

Partial amides of copolymers of maleic anhydride and a vinyl gp.-contg. comonomer, having K-value 20-30(25), (measured in toluene at 22 degrees C), are used as foam-booster and -stabiliser additives to hair- and bath-shampoos, pref. in 3-15 wt. % concn. w.r.t. wash-active matl. present. They can also be used in foamed plastics, foamed concrete, foamed gypsum prodts. and fire extinguishers.
