Pinch clip for hollow injection needle - with wings for guiding and inserting needle and securing the needle on patient's skin

Pinch clip is intended for assemblies forming hollow needles, partic. for medical purposes. The assembly comprises a fistula needle having a protuberance and a tubular extension; it includes a flexible tube communicating with the inside on the needle and fixed to the latter by the part which is forced over the extension. The assembly has a separate pinch clip, made of nylon or propylene, with an annular portion which is elastic, flexible, partially closed and extends around more than a semicircle; it is continued by two wings which project nearly radially from the partially-closed ring. The clip can take up any posn. along the tube and grips it without obstructing the flow inside the tube. If the user holds the wings between the index finger and the thumb, the ring will be contracted and will grip the assembly at the pre-determined posn. The wings can be used for guiding and inserting (or withdrawing) the needle in the patient. By turning the wings downwards, they can keep the needle in posn. on the patient's skin, for a certain time, by means of an adhesive ribbon.
