Red lead/vegetable oil compns. - for isolating and protecting damaged parts of the cortex of plants and trees

Composition, for isolating and protecting against infection damaged parts of the cortex of plants, containing an insoluble metallic oxide incorporated in a vegetable oil. Specif. claimed are compsns. contg. Pb3O4, pref. in arachis oil. The Pb3O4/oil pasters are effective, isolate the damage cortex and adhere readily to the plant. They are not adversely affected by changes in ambient temperature.
