Mobile display and storage shelving, motor driven to pass vertically in front of a user. Finding and selecting articles is made easier and storage space is better utilised. Upright frames (16, 18) are fixed opposite each other and have chain wheels (B, B') at the bottom joined together by a shaft (4) driven from an electric motor. Loose wheels (A, A') are fitted at the top. Chains (C1, C2) pass over each set of wheels and carry the shelves (1, 2, 17) on swivel bearings (3) to ensure they remain upright when passing over the wheels. Push buttons (5) operate the motor and its braking system. Manual operation is obtained by turning a hand-wheel.
