1400022 Printing with disperse dyes on synthetic materials HOECHST AG 29 Sept 1972 [30 Sept 1971] 45090/72 Heading D1B Polyester, cellulose triacetate and cellulose 2¢-acetate fibre materials are printed with disperse dyes and continuously fixed in the presence of a mixture of fixation auxiliaries which comprises at least one compound of formula in which X is zero or an integer I to 4 and at least one monocarboxylic acid ester of a butan-(1, 4)-diol-polyglycolether of -formula HO-C 4 H 8 O[A]OC-R 1 in which R 1 CO- is an acyl redical of a linear or bronched chain alkane or alkene-monocarboxylic acid having from 12 to 22 carbon atoms and [A] is a polymer chain derived from ethylene oxide and/or propylene oxide having 3 to 20 members the ratio of the compounds being in the range of 1:10 to 10:1 by weight. Optionally 0.5 to 12% by weight of an oxyethylated vianoleic acid of formula in which Z is an integer 1 to 50 and/or from 0.5 to 12% of a mononuclear benzenesulphonic acid having at least one linear or branched-chain alkyl group having 3 to 20 carbon atoms may also be employed. The fibres may be mixed together or blended with wool, natural or regenerated cellulose or other synthetic fibres. Fixation may be effected by hot air or by steaming.
