1407738 Pesticidal application of Organo tin compounds PROCTER & GAMBLE CO 24 Aug 1973 [25 Aug 1972 2 Aug 1973] 40213/73 Heading A5E A method of killing acarids comprises contacting plants which are infested by or which are subject to infestation by acarina with an acaricidally effective amount of compound selected from (1) compounds of the formula (R 3 Sn) 2 O where each R is an acyclic alkyl group of from 5 to 7 carbon atoms, (2) adducts of compounds of the formula (R' 3 Sn) 2 O where each R' is an alkyl or cycloalkyl group of from 5 to 7 carbon atoms, and CO 2 , CS 2 or SO 2 , and (3) mixtures thereof. Typical compounds used are bis(tri-hexyl, pentyl and heptyl tin) oxides and their adducts with CO 2 . The invention also comprises concentrates containing the tin compounds.
