An improved air/gas jet nozzle of the multiple orifice form is disclosed, the output of which is substantially inaudible to the human ear. The nozzle comprises an airfoil-shaped plenum having "paper thin" slot-shaped orifices in its trailing edge. Sheaths of inaudible range vibrating air are induced to surround the flat-wise extenuating discharge streams from the nozzle orifices to mask the audible range sound vibrations therein.
