Fuel mixts. consisting of (A) a major proportion of middle distillate fuel, (B) a pour point depressant, and (C) a hydroxycarboxylic acid, ester of a 10-30c alcohol contg. at least one uninterrupted chain with at least 8-CH2- gps., to improve filterability at low temps. are useful as heating oils, diesel and jet fuels. The combination of (B) and (C) shows a synergistic effect.
