1485438 Anthraquinone dyestuffs IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 23 Sept 1975 [14 Oct 1974] 44397/74 Heading C4P The invention comprises water-soluble dyestuffs which in the form of the free acid have the general formula wherein one of X and Y is -SO 3 H and the other -NHCOOR wherein R is an alkyl, cycloalkyl or aralkyl radical having up to 8 carbon atoms. They are prepared by reacting a 1 - amino - 2 - sulpho - 4 - (3SP1 /SP- amino - 4SP1/SP- sulpho- or 3SP1 /SP- sulpho - 4SP1/SP - amino-)anilino anthraquinone with a chloroformic acid ester of the formula ROCOC1 where R is as above. The dyestuffs dye nylon 6, 11 and 66 in blue shades.
