The baby's sleeping bag is provided with a full-length slide fastener (1) which can be provided to extend either right down the front and slightly up the back or right down the back and slightly up the front. In either case when closed, the slide head (2) of the slide fastener is located near the bottom of the bag out of reach of the child but nevertheless the mother is allowed easy access to deal with the baby's nappies etc. The sleeping bag can be provided with holding strips (4) which can be connected to the cot to ensure minimum movement of the bag by the baby.
