1502985 Filtering; screening apparatus BLACK CLAWSON CO 18 March 1975 [18 March 1974] 11226/75 Headings B1D and B2H In an apparatus for filtering or classifying a fibrous pulp (e.g. wood pulp) the pulp is fed along a parabolic shaped screen 11, the filtered liquid or undersized fraction being discharged through means 13 and the oversized fraction or filtered solids being discharged through means 12. In Fig. the screen 11 is mounted in pivotably mounted housing 20 and the pulp is fed through nozzles 16 (or a pivotably mounted header box, Fig. 8, not shown). The screen may comprise mesh or spaced wedge shaped bars extending transversely or generally parallel to the pulp flow over the screen.
