Diaryloxy-imidazolyl-O,N-acetals of the formula IMAGE (I) or pharmaceutically-acceptable, nontoxic salts thereof wherein X and Y are each halo, alkyl, alkoxy, haloalkylthio, nitro, amino, alkylamino or dialkylamino; Z is a direct bond, methylene, oxygen, sulphur, sulphonyl, alkoxymethylene or a keto moiety; A is a keto moiety or a moiety of the formula C(OH)R, wherein R is hydrogen or alkyl; and a and b are each integers from 0 to 3; are useful for their antimycotic activity and their sporocidal action.
