The transferable adhesive layer, which can be wound up into rolls using an intermediate layer impregnated so as to be adhesive-repellent, comprises a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition preferably having an adhesive power to steel of 200 to 1,500 g per cm of adhesive film width, in which an unwoven layer of continuous textile filament yarns aligned rectilinearly in the longitudinal direction is fully embedded. The number of threads is expediently from 10 to 40 per cm of adhesive film width in a linear density range from 30 to 400 dtex. The adhesive layer can be removed again from adhesive surfaces without leaving residue by simple peeling.
