The antibiotics T-7545-A and B (also called Validamycin) are white slightly basic hygroscopic powders produced by cultivating Streptomyces hygroscopicus var. limoneus and are identified by their chemical and physical properties (see Division C2). Other active ingredients specified in the Examples are 2- amino-1, 3, 4-thiadiazole and its 5-thiol; 2- formamido-1, 3, 4-thiadiazole; 3-benzylideneamino-4-phenylthiazoline-2-thione; blasticidin- S-benzylamino-benzene sulphonate; kasugamycin; O, O-diisopropyl-S-benzyl-thiophosphate; O-ethyl-S, S-diphenyldithiophosphate; polyoxine; 1, 3-bis (carbamoylthio)-2-(N, N-dimethylamino)-propane hydrochloride; dimethyl (3- methyl-4-nitrophenyl) thiophosphate and 1- naphthyl-N-methylcarbamate.
