Coupling circuit for feeding the audio signal from a television receiver to an external audio amplifier, while maintaining the necessary safety standards. The circuit contains an audio demodulation unit whose inputs are connected to a point in the receiver circuit where the audio carrier can be picked off. The input is via a small coupling capacitor. There is also a parallel capacitor and a resistor connected to the chassis of the receiver at the pick off point for safety reasons. The output signal of the demodulator is fed to an audio amplifier, which is external to the receiver circuit and whose supply is physically separate from the receiver.
