The partition wall construction includes a number of I-section posts (1) which terminate in joints to both ceiling and floor members. The ceiling member is a sandwich construction with an expanded foam filling (19). On either side of the I-section is a double angle shoulder section (16) with side flanges (17) which support horizontal ceiling panels. The I-sections have side cladding (4) on both faces of insulating plates. The base fitting is formed from a channel cut-out section which fits over a horizontal U-channel with a bolted joint to side. Steel is used for most of the channel sections.
