The material may be coated on a support and used to form printing plates after exposure to light under a negative. In examples lightsensitive material is obtained by condensing 3- methoxy-diphenylamine-4-diazonium salts with 4,4SP1/SP-bis-methoxy-methyldiphenylether by heating in phosphoric acid; various salt of the material are coated on substrates, the coating compositions also containing ethylene glycol monomethyl ether, butyl acetate, phosphoric acid, diacetone alcohol, a copolymer of styrene and maleic anhydride, water, 4-diethylaminoazobenzene, polyvinyl alcohol, polyvinyl methyl acetamide, Crystal Violet, Heliogen Blue, polyvinyl formal, methyl ethyl ketone, Orasol Black and p-phenyl azo-diphenylamine; in one example the condensate is coupled with 1- phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone to form a dyestuff.
