The reinforcing inlay is for elongated concrete structural elements produced by the sliding-formwork casting process. It consists of a number of prestressed steel wires (73) extending lengthways along the element (72), and an elongated network extending parallel to these, set above or below them. This is made up from two lengthways steel wires (6), and a number of evenly spaced transverse rods or wires (13) with their ends bent round the two lengthways wires. In the machine for the process involved there are forwarding devices for staged supply of two lengthways wires, another for thrusting evenly spaced transverse wires across them, so that the ends of these project, and two bending devices to bend the ends round as required. The combined assembly can be prestressed and introduced transversely to the casting bed.
