Metal fittings for use in furniture, in partic. for tables and chairs, such that the fitting profile forms a frame in one plane and encloses the leg to which it is to be attached, has longitudinal beams extending sideways from each leg of which two enclose the region of the profiles where they form a corner or edge, such that the leg is linked to a key or wedge mounted on the beam side of the profile. The shank of a connector angle piece can be inserted into the head seating of the corner forming profiles, such that the leg, connector angle piece and wedge are held together by means of tensioning screws.
