Accurate dosing of large flows of liqs. - with small vols. of liq. additives, e.g. in water or effluent treatment

In a mixing process in which known quantities of a first fluid are added to the flow of a second fluid, the first fluid is added intermittently in doses of equal quantities and the time at which each dose commences in a function of the flow rate of the second fluid. Treatment of potable and boiler feedwater streams, dosing of aqs. and non-aqs. effluents. Very small concentrations of the first liq. in the second can be achieved with a high level of accuracy using inexpensive dosing equipment. The system is independent of varying pressures.
