Bob-ski with translating and rotating rear ski - has single terminally hinged arm-linking frame and rear ski and rotation is limited by scissor levers

Bob-ski has a translating and rotating rear ski (12), which can be displaced parallel to its long axis and can rotate about an approx. median point (28) is designed to enable the ski to follow the contours of undulating terrain. The vehicle is similar to a bicycle with single skis (11, 12) locating fore and aft in lieu of wheels and the suspension between frame (10, 13 etc) and rear ski (12) comprises a telescopic type shock absorber (24) and coil spring with a single terminally hinged arm (29) completing the linkage. Pref. a ski rotation amplitude limiting mechanism constituting a scissor lever (30) between the ski nose and the frame is incorporated and the hinged connection of the link arm (29) to the ski is separate from that of the suspension unit (24).
