Stable static inverter with energy return via inductor - resonant inductor and diodes connected to tapped output transformer primary

The regulated static inverter has energy returned to the supply via a return circuit that contains a filter choke connected at one end directly to the resonant inductor and at the other end over rectifier diodes to the two ends of a winding belonging to the transformer. The thyristors are coupled to tappings along this winding and connected over the resonant choke to the d.c. supply and over a second inductor to the other d.c. supply pole. The advantage of the static inverter lies in its being stable under practically all load conditions.
