The cable supported transporter way with at least one horizontal cable loaded in tension is supported by vertical cables held on curved cables anchored on vertical columns. Longitudinal relative movements between the horizontal cable and the curved cable are suppressed by clamping the horizontal straight cable midpoint and the curved support cable lowest point. This arrangement also compensated distorting forces which may occur in such structures of long spans carrying loads of widely varying nature. At the connection point the horizontal cables (2) are clamped on a lower plate (3) which also holds curved suspension cables (1) by a clamping plate (4) held by bolts (5) on the lower plate. The roadway cables (2) are held on the plate by clamping plates (6) with chamfered edge. These clamping plates are held by bolts passing through holes (7) from below the clamping plate (3).
