Ski boot safety fixture with brake lever attachment - has torsion spring for moving lever in brake position

A spring loaded lever which is attached to the ski as part of the boot fixture is able to swing 270 deg. about a longitudinal axis when the ski comes off the boot. The lever acts as an anchor pin, thus preventing the ski from running downhill. Two locating plates house the spigot pin and the torsion spring which acts on the brake lever. A wire bracket on the free side of the lever retains the brake lever in position when the ski is not in use. When a boot is clamped in position the bracket disengages under spring action, thus freeing the brake lever to be held down by the boot.
