The stock complete with trigger mechanism and magazine can be removed as an assembly from the remainder of the weapon. The central portion (B) guiding the breech mechanism forms an assembly from which the barrel (9) with hand grip (12) is removable, and is assembled to the stock (1) and barrel by captive locking bolts (7, 17) in the various sub-assemblies(A, B, C). There can be a tubular guide (6) in the stock, into which the central portion fits and is locked by a transverse bolt (7). Locking dogs can be provided at the rear end of the barrel, engaging with mating dogs in the central portion. A locking pin extends from the front face of the latter (15), retractable parallel to the barrel against spring action, and snapping into engagement with a hole in a thrust flange (14) when the barrel is locked in place.
