The system is easily built and suited to integrated circuit construction. It consists of a number of parallel resonating elements mounted on an electrostrictive base by mounting brackets fixed at two nodes, one near each end of each resonator. The resonators are coupled together at their centres, which are the points of maximum excursion. Two input electrodes are mounted on the base under the resonator at one end of the group, which the output electrode is mounted on the base under the resonator at the other end. The equations governing the behavior of this arrangement are given. Two slightly different dispositions of the electrodes are also described.
