Lightweight portable writing top for flat surface - has height-adjustment screw legs and foldaway book rest

The lightweight portable writing top has wedges (2) underneath along the parallel shorter sides, each having a groove (3) and a rounded milled portion with cams (4) designed to take up the book rest (5) which is positioned at each side in a U-rail (6). The book rest (5) can thereby be slid in and outbeneath the desk top (1) and then rotated up to engage in the cams (4) at an adjustable inclined angle. Height-adjustment screws (7) with protective felt studs are underneath whilst a retaining band (8) is mounted along the bottom of the book rest to secure the books or papers. This writing top can be set up on any table or similar surface.
