Storage and display shop fitting - using a base plate as sliding door for a piece of shop furniture on which it is mounted

A storage and display unit which may be combined with shop furniture (esp. of the type that may be assembled without using screws) has a base plate on which relatively long pegs or rods with square grooves are perpendicularly arranged and connected to one another by panels forming shelves. The base plate is designed as a sliding door for a piece of furniture and the pegs are in form of rods of circular cross-section. Unit is space saving and enables merchandise to be attractively displayed and/or stored in vertical arrangement. Pref. the base plate is of metal, e.g., steel, and may be plastics-coated. The rods and shelves may be of acrylic resin.
