The linear-motor-driven and magnetic-field or air-cusion-guided train unit incorporates a rigid body, and running-gear which comprises a flexible bar in the line of travel and displaceable running-gear sections attached to this, also separately adjustable according to the course of the track. Each of these is a transverse section with one or more recesses for the horizontally effective pressure media, such as bellows, and support surfaces for the vertically effective pressure media. The pressure media are activated by a regulator device which is affected by the course of the track. The flexible bar is deformable horizontally by the first-named pressure media and vertically by the others. A constant g ap, within very narrow tolerances, can be maintained between track and running-gear.
