The linked explosive charges in the form of a chain are connected to each other by a fuze. Each explosive charge within this chain has a transmission charge to which is connected an explosive fuze. The shock wave energy of each detonating string is sufficient to initiate the transmission charge at the end of the string but is not sufficient to initiate the explosive charge connected to the other end of this string. The transmission charge energy content is capable of initiating the adjacent explosive charge. Each explosive charge (2) in the explosive charge chain has an adjacent transmission charge (3) and connecting detonating fuze strings (4) for joining the chain.
