The fast-acting switch-over circuit switches over important equipment from main to standby power supply. The two supplies are coupled via two transformers and two relay contacts to a rectifier bridge whose output supplies the load. A first differential amplifier forms the difference reading which depends on which supply is switched in. The output of the first amplifier is added by a second differential amplifier to its first and second differentials multiplied by given constants to form the first three terms in a Taylor series. The output of the second amplifier operates a transistor switch.
