Anti-roll stabilising tanks for ship - with smaller tanks positioned over each other and beside each other

The ship is stabilised for roll by a system of fluid filled tanks arranged at different levels and divided by bulkheads into tank sections. The air spaces above the tanks are joined by control valves to regulate the flow of fluid as the ship rolls. The air spaces of different layers are joined by another set of air lines so that the roll frequency of the ship canbe altered w.r.t. wave conditions. The system is readily trimmed for all types of seas and all types of loading without complicated re-ballasting.
