The transport roller for pulling the band out of the cassette is mounted as a floating roller on an axle and it is arranged so that a part of its circumference projects through an opening in the wall of the cassette, enabling the assembly to be moved by the finger of an operator. The surface of the roller may be coated with a thick resilient coating of rubber and can be used to squeeze the band between it and a slide surface within the cassette which is typically made of plastics. The embossing band itself is coiled about a central axis and can be fed out of either one of two outlets.
