The installation is used to detach individual wires from a bulk bundle using magnetic pick-up units rotating by means of a drive element. The pick-up units are formed by wheels each of which have two magnetic plates with conveyor bands located on the side of the pick-up wheel facing away from the wire stack. As in 2,216,516, a vibrating element is located within the area of the wire stack in front of the pick-up wheels. The conveyor receiving the detached wires is a driven conveyor step moved in an up and down direction by the vibrating element through an eccentric drive.
