Prodn. of perborates, esp. of Ca, Sr, Mg and Zn is improved in that the corresp. borates (which can be prepd. in situ by reacting the corresp. metal carbonates with H3BO3) are reacted with H2O2 with intensive stirring, and the resulting perborate dispersion is sprayed onto hot rolls. The prods. are stable due to the absence of foreign ions and have good filtering props.
