Isostatic hot-pressing method for the production of a dense sintered products

Pore-free sintered products prodn. from piezoelectric, ferroelectric or ferromagnetic ceramics expose the material at the sintering temp. directly and on all sides to inert gass at a press. of 25-300 (100-200) kg/cm2. The material is a polycrystalline body of ceramics or cermet, with lattice defects in its crystals. Bodies of any desired shape can be compacted, and show low residual porosity. No separate container is needed, and press. used are lower.
