In order to facilitate measurements on parts of the solid object e.g. only the blade (5) section, and to automate the process, the equipment is provided with vertically movable vessel (13). Before measurements begin the system is leveled on the prism (2) by screw (11) and carriage (12) and balanced by counterweights (7). The vessel (13) is lowered and filled with two immiscible but of nearly similar specific density liquids of different colour.
