Scanning controller for a scintillography for measurement of the distribution of intensity of radioactive radiation of an object by linewise scanning of the object, has a sensor (transceiver) which travels with the scintillographic detector and gives a control signal at the boundaries of the region to be investigated, for respective changeover of the detector to the next line of scan. Pref. the changeover signal also causes a mark to be made, distinct from the actual recording, in the printer or photographic recorder. When the sensor detects a scanning line running completely outside the region to be investigated, the scintillography is switched off.
