The fibrous substances are weighed and they are conveyed behind the dosing rollers (1, 2) to two dividing rollers (3, 4) which rotate at a higher speed than the dosing rollers. The dosing rollers and dividing rollers can each contain a roller which revolves in stationary bearings and a second roller which is pivotably mounted to adjust the width of the gap between the rollers. The dosing rollers and dividing rollers have assigned to them separate controllable drives (17). Each dosing roller and dividing roller can have assigned to it a set of separate independently driven fine dosing rollers (5, 6; 7, 8) which are used for control of fine dosage.
