Production and reproduction of extra-axial holograms - allowing transmission of coded holograms via commercial telecommunications systems

The assembly comprises a recording device for the interference pattern corresponding to the hologram, connected via a commercial electric telecommunications system to a reproducing device, using a low holographic carrier frequency. One of two identical transparent auxiliary holograms (Hh) is disposed in the recording device in front of the recording layer which is then illuminated by the reference wave and the object wave (OW), and the other in the reproducing device in front of the transmitted hologram (H) which is then illuminated by the reproducing wave (WW). An image of an auxiliary object (HO) is reconstructed immediately adjacent to the dihedral angular region of the object (O) or image, and the spatial definition capacity of the recording layer is insufficient to record the carrier frequency structure corresponding to the undeflected reference and object waves.
