The electronic mutli-channel low-power counter, for space vehicles has the addresses of memory cells belonging to one counting channel arranged along the diagonal of an address matrix. This enables the serial +1 addition in the pre-count process, which can be terminated or broken off by erroneous transfer in any counting channel, to continue simultaneously in all counting channels. The addresses of cells for one channel may be arranged in steps across the address matrix's diagonal. More time can be saved by passing over column addresses which have no pre-counting process and no addition transfer.
