The rotating heat exchanger has parallel to its rotating axis tubes which pass through circular ribs arranged in radial planes at equal outside diameters, and thus supply heated air radially outwards. The pipes are held in a fluid supply chamber and the other ends of these pipes are closed and in contact with the air. - The centrifugal friction force acting on the medium is higher in the inlet region and this ensures that the rotor is able to draw in larger quantities of the flow medium. The radial projection of the circular ribs increases inwards from the air inlet channel towards the supply chamber and the distance between the circular ribs increases with increasing radii. The tubes are arranged in concentric layers.
