Automatic camera with manual exposure correction - has photocell over variable transmission edge of thin filter

The automatic camera has a photocell mounted behind a separate objective fitted alongside the main objective of the camera. A large filter plate is mounted to cover both objectives. In order to cater for some manual correction in the exposure the filter is swivelled in its mounting with the edge regions of the filter having variable transmission factors. This enables the user to over expose or under expose the film by a calculated amount. The filter mounting ring is provided with calibrated markings with over exposure in one direction and under exposure in the other direction.
