Frequency response curve tracer - has vertical and horizontal components for cathode ray oscillograph display

The frequency curve tracer comprises a wobbulator (2) or swept frequency generator, with constant amplitude output (1) connected to the circuit under test (X) and to the horizontal deflection system of a cathode ray oscillograph (4). The vertical deflection is produced by the demodulated output (3) of the test circuit. A response curve is thus produced on the screen (5). To further enhance the usefulness of the test apparatus, response curve tolerance limits can be superimposed by means of two generators (6), (8) driven by a frequency discriminator (12) connected to the wobbulator output. This will enable upper and lower (T), (T') response limits to be produced against which the frequency response can be compared.
