A process for the hydro warmth treatment of made of porous concrete existing concrete mold bodies in an autoclave

Cellular concrete bodies are heated in an autoclave first under atmospheric press to 100-110 degrees C, then satd. steam is introduced, penetrates the cellular concrete and condenses in the cells whereby the body is rapidly heated; when the temp. threshold of 65-70 degrees C is reached in the centre of the concrete body, the autoclave temp. is increased to a max. value (e.g. 183 degrees C) and maintained at this level for some time; subsequently the temp. is reduced to 100 degrees C and the pressure drops to atmospheric press. By this method, the temp. gradient in the concrete body is decreased. The heating is rapid and hence, the treatment is shorter than in the known processes. In most cases, the pre-heating can be omitted.
