Quick-release action for cutting blades of woodworking machine - combines positive, steadfast location with easy interchange

A cutting blade is fitted at the circumference of a solid rotating disc. The rear side of the blade has a longitudinal saw-tooth grooves of about half-a-dozen or so, which mate with similar grooves in the disc, which is cut into at this point to form a throat for the blade. The front side of the blade has a similar number of saw-tooth grooves, but transverse and mating with similar grooves in a loose, springy jaw-piece. A knurled screw, engaging in a hollow in the back of the jaw-piece and another hollow opposite in the disc tightens the jaw-piece on to the blade. An L-shaped key provided a quick release.
