A bolted joint to attach two walled articles to one another has a bolt through a hole the edge of which is formed as a conventional rotation prevention safety device. The edge is deformed on tightening of the bolt by the nut and is forced down securely onto one of the joint surfaces. The edge of the bolt hole is in the form of a truncated cone and has a radial slits and is manufactured from radially or/and axially elastically deformable material. Other devices of a similar pattern with retention nuts are described. The device can have a folded side which dips into an aperture adjacent that for the bolt, so that the device is restrained against rotation.
