Ambulance comprises a driver's cab, and a separate patient's compartment including an air inlet germ filler and an air suction pipe which is connected to the engine via a pipe opening out behind the engine air filter, so that air is disinfected by passing through the engine itself before entering the atmosphere. The heat of the engine is used to kill the harmful germs. The drawing also shows in the air inlet germ filter a filter insert which is mounted in a disinfecting fluid circuit comprising a receptacle containing formalin, a pump, and a drain pipe for returning formalin to the receptacle.
