The weekday disc is driven from the clock mechanism via spring means and has an ON-OFF alarm selector switch for each day of the week. With the selector switch in the ON position a stop lever is released, causing a contact in the alarm circuit to close, so as to operate the alarm. The weekday disc is stepped forwards each twenty four hours and may be associated with a weekday display disc, which is index each twenty four hours by a indexing lever fixed to a toothed wheel driven by the hour wheel of the clock mechanism.
