Light-construction saddle roof - with thin prefabricated trapezoid sheets assembled ready-made into self-supporting structure

The ridge or saddle roof is of the light construction type, for installation on residential buildings, hangar and shed structures and elsewhere. Thin-walled trapezoid, or similar shaped, sheets are inserted in U-shaped profiled sheets forming base rafters, and at the ridge they are assembled together with doubled U-shaped sheet sections to forma a load bearings light proof structure with no beams or supports. Steel cables with tension locks may be used, for accommodation of horizontal forces in open hangar-type construction. Heat-insulating material may be additionally applied, and strips of bitumen, plastic or other material for proofing against damp penetration.
